Why did you decide to sell?

As the executor of my mom's will, I had to make the decision to start the selling process. We needed to get it sold as soon as possible due to the circumstances. 

 

How did Christine prepare your home to sell and how do you feel she marketed your home?

I'd like to preface this by saying that my mother's property was a mobile home and sold for $45K. They did a 360 camera walkthrough which was very cool. They are a very high tech team and they do social media marketing on Facebook and Instagram. You don't see that a lot in Sussex County. They are high tech but extremely down to earth, approachable and the couple next door. 

They treated my mom's $45K mobile home as if it was a multi-million dollar home and that really meant a lot to us. They present all homes the same way with the same level of quality and enthusiasm.

Why My Beach Agent?

I was specifically looking for someone I knew and trusted, especially with it being such a sensitive and emotional process for our family. I was in a networking group with Christine for some time and I knew of her reputation in the community.  At that point, I was just hoping she was available to help us and luckily she was. She knew about what was going on with my mother and had already expressed compassion toward us so I knew hands down that she was the one. 

Given the circumstances, what was the best part of your selling experience?

Although it was a difficult and emotional situation all around, Christine made it as easy as possible for us. I wanted to not have to do things that I didn't understand that were complex and monotonous. I had so many other things to think about and I just wanted to sell it fast and that happened. The estate attorney streamlined the process as well. Not only is Christine herself amazing to work with, but you can trust the people she partners with 100%. 

 

Were there any stressful moments or things you were concerned about? 

I think understanding the legalities of selling my mom's home was the most stressful part. It isn't like a regular sale when dealing with an estate and the proper steps have to be taken. I was always able to lean on Christine and the attorney to make sure I was doing everything right under the law. They were able to steer me in the right direction. If she didn't know the answer, she would ask the attorney. Christine went above and beyond what she needed to do to make sure I was taken care of legally. 

Jenni's advice for you:

Be aware of what you don't know and go to Christine and ask those questions. Anything you're afraid of don't be afraid to ask and don't feel like you have to do everything yourself. I felt like I had to do it all and there was a lot of pressure on me. I thought I was prepared and I realized I wasn't. You just can't prepare for that type of loss and having to deal with a real estate transaction at the same time.
